Set Up Your WebTycho Syllabus as One Page

Graduate faculty may customize the WebTycho Syllabus menu: create new links for single-page syllabi and delete default submenu entries. See below for how-to.

This streamlined menu makes it easier for faculty to provide and edit their syllabi and also makes it easy for students to find the single syllabus page.

Course Description and Academic Policies are items filled in by "the System" that cannot be removed from the Syllabus menu.

Here are additional examples of how you can customize the Syllabus Menu.
 


Three Steps to Setting Up a One-Page Course Syllabus in WebTycho 

  1. Create your syllabus document, e.g., as a
  1. Create a custom Syllabus link in WebTycho for your syllabus document
  • In Faculty Center/Syllabus row/ select Create Text (for attaching a file or pasting text) or Create URL (for linking to your published webpage). 

  • Fill in Link Text. (This will appear in the class menu as the link to the syllabus.)

  • Select Yes or NO for Open in New Window. (Unsure of this option? See Open in New Window).

  • Submit.
  1. Remove unwanted default Syllabus submenu items 
  • In the Faculty Center/Syllabus row/Options (or Manage/Syllabus Options) page, select the No radio button to remove unwanted items.

    We suggest selecting No for "Printable Version" when you remove the other items, because this feature will NOT display the contents of any customized syllabus link.

  • Submit.
