Cut/Paste HTML Code from an Existing Document

1. Copy Content from one page.

  • Open "lesson_guide_temp.htm" in the lessons directory.
  • Open the HTML window by clicking on the icon on the menu bar at the top or at the bottom right of the page.
  • Highlight the code AFTER <body text=........ topmargin="0" leftmargin="0"> down to just above the last body tag.

The top part of the window should look like the image below.

As you scroll down, the bottom of the window should look like the image below:

Once the code is highlighted, hit the Ctrl and C key on the keyboard to copy it on your clipboard.

2. Paste Content to another page.

  • Go back to the lesson_guide.htm page.
  • Click on the icon on the menu bar or at the bottom right of the window to open the html window.
  • Paste the contents of the clipboard (by hitting the Ctrl and V key on the keyboard) right below the opening body tag and just above the closing body tag.

Notice that the image path to the title bar was also copied. This works because we were copying/pasting in the same folder, so the relative path: "images/bar_umuc_de.jpg" works no matter which page you are on.

3. Click on the design view button to view the page.
