Create a Folder/Directory on the C:/Drive

1. From the desktop, double click on "My Computer

2. Double click 'C' drive 

3. Locate the "My Documents" folder and double click to open the folder. 

4. On the menu bar, select File-->New-->Folder 

5. Rename the new folder to 'course-name' where course name is the class you are developing the site for (e.g., csmn639, admn625, etc.). 

To rename the folder, while the 'New Folder' text is highlighted in blue, type 'course-name'. If the folder text is not highlighted in blue, right click on 'New Folder' folder and select Rename

6. Double-click on the course-name folder to open the folder.

The Address window should have the name of folder listed. If you do not see your folder name in the Address window, the folder is not opened. You will need to double click on the folder name again.

7. On the menu bar, click on File-->New-->Folder 

8. Rename the folder to 'lessons'.

To rename the folder, while the 'New Folder' text is highlighted in blue, type 'lessons'. If the folder text is not highlighted in blue, right click on 'New Folder' folder and select Rename
