Upcoming Training Workshops Conducted by Center for Support of Instruction (CSI) Additional Training Workshops and Events WebTycho's Syllabus Tool Demonstration Efforts are currently underway to develop a new syllabus tool for use in all UMUC WebTycho classrooms. This tool, which is piloting in select classes this fall, is intended to ensure consistency of course focus and scope worldwide. The session consists of a face-to-face meetings and five weeks of virtual participation. Any faculty member who wishes to teach a distance education course using WebTycho is required to complete this training successfully. For further information about the Teaching with WebTycho workshop, see: CTL Training Site Training Schedule Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) -- Faculty Development Workshops CTL is pleased to offer a wide selection of workshops for UMUC faculty throughout the year. Most workshops are offered online to our global faculty. Faculty can also earn certificates in our Faculty Development Workshop Certificate Program to enhance their teaching skills and expertise. Center for Intellectual Property (CIP) The Center for Intellectual Property hosts several on-site and online workshops each year devoted to the issues surrounding intellectual property and copyright and their effect on higher education. The center specializes in providing dynamic, highly interactive experiences for participants. It is the center's policy to bring in experts in the field for all of our continuing education activities to ensure participants have a rewarding experience.
