WebTycho Participation

Students will follow the rules of "online etiquette" as outlined in the WebTycho Etiquette page.

Students should participate in the course computer conference at least two hours per week.

Students may submit assignments to the instructor through the postal service. Be sure to check your syllabus for assignment submission specifics.

Your computer cannot be affected by a virus while you are email and reading and sending conference messages or while transferring an assignment to your instructor. (A computer virus is software that has been created intentionally to modify or destroy the contents of a hard drive or diskette; it is acquired by executing an infected program.)

Students may receive computer-related assistance through the Technical Support Line at 800-807-4862, or send email to tychosupport@polaris.umuc.edu.

Students with concerns that cannot be addressed by the Technical Support Line should call the office of the Director of Distance Education Technologies at 301-985-7849 or 800-283-6832, ext. 7849, or send email to distance-ed@info.umuc.edu.
